Guijuelo wastewater treatment plant

Guijuelo will adapt the vehicle fleet to be able to use the biogas generated at the WWTP

The vehicles in the Guijuelo municipal fleet will be progressively adapted to be able to use the biogas that is generated, thanks to the Advisor project, in the Guijuelo WWTP.

In the short term, the gas station located in the WWTP, the Guijuelo Wastewater Treatment Plant, will be the recharging point for the vehicles of the municipal fleet. Once the mayor of and those responsible for Aqualia have established the bases of the collaboration agreement for the supply of biomethane produced in Guijuelo in the gas station built by FCC Aqualia through the research and development project called Advisor.

With this agreement, the Guijuelo City Council shows its commitment to the Advisor and Rewise programs, promoted by Aqualia in Guijuelo, in addition to delving into the care of the environment, with the active use of biomethane generated through the recovery of energy from the sewage water.
